1You look at your watch and suddenly rush:
Shit! I am late!
But you stop for a second, and roll a little die;
What if it's good? Maybe a marvelous day awaits?!
After fiddling, flying, falling across: A Five!
What miracle!
2Before an interview, right before that first date,
On a cloudy day, a happy morning, a sad winter,
A die is rolled!
And you go on, you don't believe in numbers:
You're a poet!
And yet you roll, just to see faith collide fate.
3A leaf falls, a train crashes, but Why?
You see a child smile and a plane lands.
How amazing!
Perhaps someone or something, far, far on a cloud,
Bathing in a golden crown, feeding sheep and flies,
Rolled a little dice.
